EMBRACE THE POCKET SQUARE! GO 2 THE NEXT LEVEL WITH… ARMSTRONG & WILSON
June 23, 2011
Stylistocrats, there’s a reason a sport and suit coat has a pocket on its chest: you’re meant to adorn your ensemble with a pocket square. If a suit represents your adherence to classical style then a colorful handkerchief is a chance to express your individuality—and it’s one that should not be passed up. Once you dive in, a coat that lacks a bit of colored silk looks somehow unfulfilled, like a Porsche that never breaks the speed limit. (those of you who know Stylistocrat know that never happens)

The entry-level approach —straight and white as an index card is dead! This no-nonsense tactic may work best with a narrow lapel coat, an ice cold martini, and a world view that takes no prisoners, but if your ready to explore your sense of fashion then you need to know two words… “Armstrong & Wilson”.
When it came to the tuxedo Humphrey Bogart was the master of the uniform. If your looking to be that “master” you need to know about these two guys. Armstrong & Wilson has been in business for app. 2 years now. These Philly cats (Yup… you know the best comes from the City of Brotherly Love), have added the final touch to cap off your classic look.

I sat down with Ontario Armstrong a few weeks ago for a 1-on-1 interview, in which he told me, “Men are getting back to the details, why not take the time and do a detailed pocket square!”
Because Armstrong wanted the pocket square to “make a statement and be more than an accessory but more of the focal point”, he and his partner designed each square with a unique button and button hole that draw the eye straight to it!
Brilliance!!!!

So Stylistocrats, don’t be shy when it comes to color or pattern—you’re only seeing about as much cloth as a baby’s fist. Not only will you look dashing with your new Armstrong and Wilson addition—you’ll be prepared to offer it to your date should she tear up while watching a movie
. Who says fashion and function don’t go hand in hand?
