Well a lot has happened in the last 10 years … We went from A Beau Consultant to Stylistocrat by R&R. All in All styling, dressing, and covering the latest in fashion has been our single vision! A few days ago when I got that note pictured above from Mr. Tom Ford himself, I knew we had graduated!

That started me to thinking for this blog update; it’s time for a little reflection! And since we aren’t the types to beat our chest I figured why not do it just once after that “That a Boy”!

The professional quest to become a fashion insider began in 2001 on the sun & sand of South Beach working as a booking agent for Elite Model Management. What a fulfilling job in the world of fashion, assisting in various fashion shoots, serving as Booking Agent, working on refreshing agency comp cards and assisting Senior Management in the recruitment of new talent in women’s division. Upon my arrival there I knew several in the fashion world…but upon leaving I felt like I knew them all.

Moving onwards and upwards, being able to work with Stylistocrat by R&R, Style Director Al-Karim Darensburg was a true honor! Those who know Al-Karim know he is the most knowledge man in Fashion, and yes I’m trumping Andre Leon Talley by saying that!!! The experience and teachings he gave from style to design help mold our organization to what it is today!

Next it’s on to a chance encounter with the man who would become one of the “R’s” in R&R. Meeting & partnering with Mr. Robert Lockett may single handily been the one best business moves I ever made. Stylistocrat needed more than just 1 voice… it needed 2! People didn’t know that Robert and I battle over fashion dos and don’ts, what’s hot and what’s not, and the ABC all of time! Yet… our differences are what make us that much better collectively! Robert’s traditional style and knowledge of the fashion business has been invaluable to our organizations growth! We’ve come a long way Bro! From selling ties, cufflinks, and accessories (trunk shows) to working under the tents at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC and being reporting for radio, TV, and blogs! Well done Sir… Well done!

And finally, to you… our MOST loyal readers… we started off doing a “how to newsletter 5 years ago” since so many asked about “this and that”. It blew up to what it is today…. Close to 12K readers on a bi-monthly basis! “WOW” that’s a lot of peeps…but we’re not stopping there! We want to blog more, reach more, and style more… more, more, MORE! Giving you our audience the latest in designers, looks, trends and Style Icons!

And how will we do that… You will see….but for now we’re taking a breath! Cause we graduated! Thank you again Mr. Ford! Your note meant the world to us!!!! It showed us we have arrived 4 sure!
