SAVILE ROW MAKES IT TO VEGAS BABY!
January 18, 2011
So, I’m planning a vacation get-a-way to Sin City and started doing some research online on places to see and places to go! The topic of conversation quickly turned to “The Vegas Wardrobe”. The old school in me says when 6pm rolls around I need to put on my tuxedo, because well it is after 6
Eventually, given the preponderance of leopard skin and shiny suits, Las Vegas hasn’t looked Rat Pack-sharp for some time now. So in doing my reasearch this is all set to change with the arrival of an exclusive new nightclub at the (pyramid-shaped) Luxor hotel. Launching this month, Savile Row is at 2,000 square feet an intimate (for Vegas), invite-only nightclub that promises, naturally, a “made-to-measure” VIP service. The credentials are certainly impressive. So what can we inspect inside? Well, candle and gas lamp-lit rooms, manicured gardens and, apparently, “old English charm”.

Membership is exclusive (only 300 people will be successful – apply via savilerowlv.com) and offers access to the “elite lounge” which boasts a private concierge who can do everything from ordering pizzas to re-arranging your flight home. One significant point in its favour: you don’t even need to step into a casino to enter the club (a rarity in Vegas). Its open from 10pm till 6.30am for the industry crowd and hard-drinking British, it’s not an authentic replica of the W1 street we know and love (you can’t buy a Richard James suit there for a start) but it certainly sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. So much so that it might even become truly Stylistocratic!!!…
