Born in Rome in 1966 this descendant of a long line of Italian textile tycoons, Matteo Marzotto was born with fashion and style in his blood. The Marzotto family launched a launched a fabric production company that survived the Great Depression and two world wars in 1836. That empire become Italy’s biggest textiles and designer name group (raking in yearly profits in excess of $2.16 billion) today you know it as Valentino, and Matteo Marzotto is its President.
Though he may hail from a well-connected textiles dynasty, 40-something Matteo Marzotto is more than just another billionaire playboy. Having also inherited his family’s entrepreneurial spirit in addition to their Italian sensibility. 
Under his leadership Marzotto has turned Valentino from a flailing fashion label into a luxury brand by repositioning the company’s products to reflect today consumers contemporary tastes.
In 2009 Vanity Fair’s named him to the International Best Dressed List and everyone in Paris is wondering what the Italian Boy Wonder’s next step will be! 
SO AS A STYLISTOCRAT, HOW CAN YOU DRESS LIKE MARZOTTO???

When photographed at public events, Marzotto is rarely seen wearing anything other than a suit! He is the quintessential poster boy for classic, understated and elegant style; since he is one of Italy’s most eligible bachelor he tends to prefer suiting up in sober, neutral colors that include navy, black, tan, and gray, occasionally mixing a pinstriped pattern. Usually when he is photographed Marzotto’s dress shirts are carefully chosen to complement his dark brown hair, with light-blue being one of his preferred hues. Matteo Marzotto’s style can best be described as modern power dressing at its finest. To create this look, all you really need are a few great basics that fit like they were made specifically for you. And though you may be more likely to frequent Macy’s or Marshall’s for your threads than an upscale tailor, the style lesson to learn from Marzotto is that when dressing like a gentleman, quality counts and attention to detail is imperative.
